De Kunstmatige Gemeenschap (EN: The Artificial Community) is a  cricital text about art communities within contemporary Dutch broedplaatsen (EN: incubators). The essay uses the Covid19 pandemic as a lens to highlight the importance of communities and why space should be reserved for the formation of legitimate and lasting communities. This text is a follow-up to the thesis I wrote on the subject.
